Canara Bank has designated Shri. Sujit Kumar Sahoo, a seasoned banking professional, as the Group Chief Compliance Officer (GCCO). The designation comes with an effective date of July 1, 2026, and covers a period of three years.

Shri. Sujit Kumar Sahoo currently serves as the Chief General Manager & Interim Group Chief Compliance Officer within the Compliance and RBS Wing at Canara Bank's Head Office in Bengaluru.

The designation recognizes Mr. Sahoo’s extensive experience spanning over 29 years in the banking sector. He holds a Master of Business Administration and possesses a Diploma in Treasury, Investment and Risk Management. Furthermore, he is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers.

Mr. Sahoo has held positions ranging from branch level to head office level across various states and regions, gaining experience across both rural and metro operations. His administrative leadership includes heading the Ranchi Circle Office and three Regional Offices located in Madurai, Chennai, and Sambalpur.
