
Canara Bank Announces Interdepartmental Transfers of Key Executives
Canara Bank announced several interdepartmental transfers of Chief General Managers, effective April 1, 2026.The changes include:
- Manoj Kumar Das, previously Chief General Manager of the Chandigarh Circle Office, has been transferred to the Credit Administration & Monitoring Wing at Head Office, Bengaluru. Mr. Das brings 37 years of banking experience and holds qualifications including B.Sc and CAIIB.
- K A Sindhu, formerly Chief General Manager of the Chennai Circle Office, will now lead the Thiruvananthapuram Circle Office. Ms. Sindhu has 34 years of banking experience and holds qualifications including Diploma in Rural Banking, B.Sc, Certificate in SME Finance for Bankers and CAIIB.
- I Panduranga Mithanthaya, previously Chief General Manager of the Tirupati Circle Office, has been transferred to the Treasury Wing at Head Office, Mumbai. Mr. Mithanthaya brings 36 years of banking experience and holds qualifications including B.Com, PG Diploma, MBA and CAIIB. He previously worked at the London Branch from 2012 to 2016.
- R Rajesh, formerly Chief General Manager of the Credit & Prepaid Cards Vertical at Head Office, Bengaluru, will now oversee the Technology Services Wing at Head Office, Bengaluru. Mr. Rajesh holds qualifications including M.Sc, MBA, and Certification in CAIIB.
- B Chandra Sekhara, previously Chief General Manager of the Credit Administration & Recovery Wing at Head Office, Bengaluru, has been transferred to the General Administration & Marketing Wing at Head Office, Bengaluru. Mr. Sekhara holds qualifications including M.Sc, Composite Insurance Certification and CAIIB.
- Mahesh M Pai, formerly Chief General Manager of the Bengaluru Circle Office, will now lead the Digital Banking Wing at Head Office, Bengaluru. Mr. Pai holds qualifications including B.Sc, Composite Insurance Certification, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and CAIIB and previously worked at the New York Branch from 2014 to 2018.
