Mutual Fund and Industry Leadership​

In the mutual fund segment, CAMS saw significant growth in equity-focused metrics. Equity AuM grew by 17.6% Y-o-Y to reach a record ₹31.4 Lakh Cr., outpacing the industry growth rate of 16.4%. Furthermore, Net Sales at ₹86,026 Cr. showed a robust increase of 43% Y-o-Y, compared to 39% in the industry.

Live SIP accounts grew by 18.8% Y-o-Y to 6.72 Cr., improving CAMS's market share to 63.9% from 61.5% a year prior. SIP collections for the quarter rose by 20.7% Y-o-Y to ₹59,681 Cr., outperforming the industry collection growth rate of 16%.

CAMS's investor base expanded by 16.8% Y-o-Y, reaching over 4.85 Cr., ahead of the industry’s 12.1% growth. The Specialized Investment Fund (SIF) segment also showed strong movement, with CAMS having launched 11 SIFs to date, collectively crossing ₹10,000 Cr. in AuM. GIFT City Retail Funds recorded over 10,000 investors, achieving monthly gross sales of ₹200 Cr. and an AuM of ₹750 Cr.

Growth Beyond Mutual Funds​

The company's diversification strategy is progressing successfully. Non-MF revenue grew by 28.4% Y-o-Y, accounting for 14.9% of the total revenue.

CAMS Alternatives achieved a strong quarter, with revenue up 25.6% Y-o-Y. The division saw AuM cross 3.2 Lakh Cr. and secured 50 new mandates, including 23 marquee new logos. CAMSPay demonstrated robust growth with its revenue increasing by 69.1% Y-o-Y, driven by the acquisition of 17 new deals in Q1 FY'27.

Other operational highlights include:
  • CAMSRep's Bima Central recorded strong user uptake, adding 8.3 Lakh users and seeing a 45% increase in its unique user base during the quarter.
  • CAMS KRA secured in-principle approval as an IFSCA authorised KRA in GIFT City on July 1, 2026.

Management Commentary​

Anuj Kumar, Managing Director, stated that Q1 FY'27 marked a strong period for CAMS, delivering double digit revenue growth and maintaining industry leading EBITDA margins of 46.4% despite a challenging market environment.

Mr. Kumar noted that the success of the diversification journey was evident, as non-mutual fund businesses grew 28.4% Y-o-Y and contributed 14.9% of revenue. He highlighted that CAMS continued to strengthen its leadership in mutual funds, with assets under management crossing ₹56 Lakh Cr.

He added that outside the core mutual fund business, CAMSPay and CAMS Alternatives performed strongly. The company also pointed out that technology modernization continues well, with platforms like Fundsnet planned for Sep'26 go-live.
