Instead, she recommends waiting for market consolidation or a notable dip before initiating any investment.For those who received an allotment from the IPO, Nyati suggests continuing to hold the stock with a medium to long-term view. The expert also provided a stop loss level of ₹475 on a closing basis as a prudent risk management measure.
IPO Details and Capital Allocation
The strong market listing followed the successful conclusion of the Rs 450 crore initial public offering (IPO). The three-day bidding process saw bumper investor interest, with the IPO being subscribed nearly 147 times its offer size. The maiden issue included a fresh issue of 94 lakh shares worth Rs 400 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) comprising 12 lakh shares valued at Rs 50 crore.Caliber Mining & Logistics had established the price band at ₹402–₹424 per share, requiring investors to bid for a minimum lot of 35 shares. Prior to listing, the company secured anchor investment, mobilizing ₹134.99 crore through the allotment of 31.84 lakh equity shares at ₹424 apiece.
Future Use of Proceeds
The company plans to utilize the proceeds from the fresh issue strategically to bolster its balance sheet and enhance operational capabilities. Out of the total funds raised, a significant portion of Rs 175 crore is designated for the repayment or prepayment of existing borrowings. Another substantial amount, ₹200 crore, has been earmarked specifically for capital expenditure (Capex). This Capex will be channeled into acquiring new machinery and equipment essential to support the company's planned expansion.
