Brightcom Group Limited Confirmed for FTSE Global Equity Index Micro Cap Inclusion
Brightcom Group Limited has been confirmed for inclusion in the FTSE Global Equity Index Series (FTSE GEIS) Micro Cap Index, alongside the FTSE Asia Pacific ex Japan ex China Micro Cap Index. The confirmation, provided by FTSE Russell, an LSEG business, is based on the latest review of the FTSE Global Equity Index Series. The changes resulting from the review are considered final as of September 7, 2026, with the company's inclusion in the relevant index set to become effective starting September 21, 2026.
The index placement marks a significant re-emergence for the company in international equity markets. Brightcom Group Limited was initially added to the FTSE Global Equity Index Series in 2020 and subsequently advanced to the FTSE Global Small Cap Index. However, the company was removed from the FTSE index following a suspension of trading in its shares effective June 14, 2024.
Following the revocation of the suspension on July 14, 2025, trading in the company's shares resumed on the BSE and NSE. The latest FTSE Russell review accounted for the company’s position and compliance record since the resumption of trading in July 2025, culminating in its re-inclusion in the FTSE Global Equity Index Series.
The inclusion in the Micro Cap Index strengthens Brightcom Group’s global visibility and provides it with greater access to the international investment community. Being part of the FTSE GEIS enables the company to be more readily identified, evaluated, and tracked by global institutional investors, fund managers, and investment research teams that utilize FTSE Russell indices for portfolio construction and market benchmarking.
