Bengaluru, August 24, 2026: Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited (BHVL) has announced the appointment of Vinay Gupta as Chief Executive Officer. In his new role, Vinay Gupta will lead a team of seasoned professionals as BHVL focuses on its next phase of expansion and aims to achieve greater heights.

Nirupa Shankar, Managing Director of Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited, commented on the appointment, stating that it comes at a significant stage in BHVL's journey and reflects the company's commitment to building a strong leadership team. She added that Vinay's proven track record in driving business growth, scaling operations, and creating long-term value will be instrumental. Shankar also noted that, having known Vinay for 20 years since he was the first GM of their first hotel, his return as CEO feels like a "full circle moment."

Vinay Gupta expressed his honour at the appointment, stating he looks forward to working closely with the team to build on the organisation's strengths. He emphasized that the primary focus will be to deliver a world-class hospitality experience while catering to the evolving needs of guests and the market.

Prior to joining BHVL, Vinay held significant leadership roles in the hospitality sector. He previously led the transformation and repositioning of a 22-hotel portfolio while associated with InterGlobe Hotels and Accor, where he drove operational excellence and significant revenue growth. His experience also includes heading a portfolio of over 25 hotels across India for SAMHI, which included Marriott, Hyatt, and IHG as brand partners. Furthermore, Vinay held multiple General Manager roles in India and Australia with Hilton, Accor, and Mirvac, gaining deep expertise in luxury and upscale hotel operations. His leadership experience also spanned roles in the UAE, the UK, and Australia.

Brigade Hotel Ventures Limited operates a portfolio of nine hotels across key Indian cities, including Bengaluru (Karnataka), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Kochi (Kerala), Mysuru (Karnataka), and GIFT City (Gujarat). With a total of 1,604 keys, the company is the second largest owner of chain-affiliated hotels and rooms in South India among major private hotel asset owners.
