Borosil Renewables’ R&D Unit Receives Prestigious DSIR Recognition from Government of India​

Borosil Renewables Limited has received prestigious recognition for its in-house Research and Development (R&D) units by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), which is part of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. This acknowledgment highlights the quality and innovation inherent in the company’s R&D activities.

The DSIR recognition applies to the R&D unit located at Plot no. 7, Sr. No. 234, 235 & 245, Indialand Global Industrial Park Road, Phase-1, Hinjewadi, Pune, Maharashtra. This status is intended to encourage the company in maintaining its R&D activities aligned with international standards.

The specialized recognition granted by the Government of India provides a significant operational benefit: it entitles the R&D Unit to avail Customs duty exemption. This includes customs exemptions on the purchase and import of equipment, instruments, spares, consumables, and other items used for R&D purposes.

This valuable registration is set to be valid until March 31, 2029.
