Mr. Surinder Paul Kanwar, Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Gears Limited, has informed the company that his appeal under Section 11 of the Passports Act, 1967, concerning the revocation of his passport, was dismissed by the Joint Secretary (PSP) & Chief Passport Officer (CPO), Ministry of External Affairs.
Mr. Kanwar further stated that the disposal of the appeal was made without providing him a reasonable opportunity to represent his case, which he contends is contrary to the proviso of Section 11(5) of the Passports Act, 1967. Consequently, he is initiating appropriate measures for filing a rectification, clarificatory, or other relevant application regarding the order.
