State-owned Broadcast Engineering Consultants India Limited (BECIL) has partnered with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). This significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to drive advanced technologies, digital transformation, and comprehensive capacity building across India's key industries.The collaboration, announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, focuses on joint project implementation and technical support. Roles and Background of the Collaborating Entities
The MoU was formally signed by BECIL Director (O&M) Capt (IN) Saurav Chauhan (Retd) and C-DAC Registrar Niranjan Vaishnav.BECIL operates as a Mini-ratna Category-I public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. It is a core provider of consultancy services and turnkey solutions across broadcasting, information technology, and telecommunications.
On the other side, C-DAC serves as a specialized research and development organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). C-DAC’s work focuses on advanced computing, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, and cyber security research.
