Kolkata, June 19, 2026: BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited has secured a contract worth Rs 46.18 million from Eastern Railway. The order involves the Design, Drawing, Supply and Erection of 25 KV OHE (Overhead Equipment) and allied electrical works, along with modification works for affected OHE in connection with the 'Extension of Platform at DEB, BEB, BPC, BP & NH of Sealdah Division.'

The project was awarded on June 18, 2026. The contract details specify that the company will complete all work within a period of 12 months from the date of the Letter of Acceptance. This engagement falls within BCPL's ordinary course of business and is with a domestic entity in India.

Commenting on the project win, Mr. Uday Narayan Singh, Executive Director and CFO at BCPL Railway Infrastructure Limited, stated that the company is pleased with the order intake. He highlighted that the platform extension work may accommodate longer trains, improve passenger safety, and manage higher passenger volumes. Mr. Singh also expressed optimism about the future of the Indian Railway sector, noting a constant flow of railway work including EPC orders, modification works, laying of new lines, and line speed increases across the country.
