Honda re-enters premium SUV segment with ZR-V e:HEV

Honda CARS has launched the ZR-V e:HEV, marking its return to the premium SUV segment after a six-year hiatus following the discontinuation of the CR-V in 2020. The vehicle is priced at ₹47.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Imported from Japan as a completely built unit (CBU), the ZR-V functions as Honda's flagship offering and represents the most expensive model in its segment, primarily due to import duties applicable to fully built vehicles compared to locally assembled competitors. This SUV is positioned to rival premium models such as the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq.

Honda stated that customer response has been encouraging, with the first two batches of the ZR-V already booked for the Indian market. Deliveries have started in select cities.
