Aye Finance Limited, a technology-driven lender focused on micro enterprise lending in India, has received a rating upgrade from India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra). The company’s long-term debt instrument rating was upgraded to IND A+, and its commercial paper (CP) rating was also improved to IND A1+ with a Stable Outlook.The upgrade from Ind-Ra underscores Aye Finance's robust asset quality, strong capital buffers, and consistent growth trajectory within the micro-enterprise lending sector. This strengthened rating is expected to help the lender diversify its funding sources and reduce its cost of borrowing.
India Ratings and Research highlighted several key factors contributing to this favorable rating action, including improved capitalization providing headroom for further franchise scaling, strengthening of the loan book through focused mortgage product expansion, improving profitability as scale increases, improved funding diversification, establishment of information technology systems, and maintaining a cash surplus and reasonable liquidity.

He added that the rating reflects the strength of the business franchise, its analytics-driven approach, and reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting financial inclusion.
Since 2014, Aye Finance has addressed credit challenges for millions of small businesses in India. The lender currently boasts a pan-India operational presence across 18 States and 3 Union Territories, serving 6.5 lakh active customers. As of March 31, 2026, the company reported an Assets Under Management (AUM) of INR 7044 crores.
