Atlanta Electricals Secures Withdrawal of Debarment Order from SBPDCL

Atlanta Electricals Limited has successfully secured the withdrawal of a debarment order previously issued by South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL). The reversal of the order came after the company submitted an appeal and detailed submissions to the competent authority.

According to the development, which was communicated on August 13, 2026, SBPDCL decided in its entirety to withdraw the Debarment Order that had been issued earlier. This resolution concerns a matter related to Purchase Order No. 58, dated October 12, 2023.

The original debarment order was issued by SBPDCL via Letter No. 516 on April 24, 2026. Atlanta Electricals Limited had previously received notice of the order and subsequently appealed the matter to the relevant authorities.

SBPDCL confirmed that the withdrawal decision was reached after reviewing the appeal and observations submitted by Atlanta Electricals Limited. The company’s representation clarified that the issue in question related only to a single isolated observation identified during a posttest inspection at CPRI, Bhopal, and did not signify any established design failure or systemic quality issue on the part of the company.

The withdrawal signals the conclusion of the dispute regarding the purchase order, with SBPDCL confirming the cancellation of the previous debarment status as of August 13, 2026.
