Operational Growth and Market Penetration

The quarter saw strong volume momentum across core textile businesses, supported by high vertical integration and product innovation. Key operational achievements included:

  • Garmenting: Garmenting volumes surpassed the 11 million pieces mark for the first time, registering a 13% growth.
  • Denim Fabric: Denim fabric volumes reached 17.5 million metres, marking the highest level in sixteen quarters and reflecting 34% growth driven by higher verticalization.
  • Woven Fabric: Woven fabric volumes stood at 31.2 million metres, up 7%, demonstrating sustained demand even during a seasonally weaker quarter.

The company further strengthened its international presence by establishing a representative network and a new office in London (UK).

Strategic Acquisitions and Business Diversification

A significant strategic move during the quarter was the acquisition of a majority stake (approximately 61%) in Dalco-GFT (USA), which represented Arvind’s largest-ever acquisition. This expansion enhanced the company's technical textile portfolio across four strategic segments: Automotive, Geotextiles, Industrial, and Furniture & Furnishings. The acquisition grants access to a Total Addressable Market (TAM) estimated at US$2.5 billion in the U.S.

The Advanced Material Business (AMB) delivered robust growth of 40% during the quarter. AMB, which achieved revenue of ₹650 Cr and EBITDA of ₹97 Cr, maintained an impressive margin of 15%. Within AMB, the Human Protection segment benefited from normalization in defence procurement activity and easing tariff-related pressures in the USA. The Composites business showed strong momentum driven by increased demand from renewable energy and mobility applications.

Financial Details on Dalco-GFT

The integration of Dalco-GFT began on May 6, 2026. For the period reported, Dalco-GFT contributed revenue of ₹157 Cr and EBITDA of ₹24 Cr, translating to a 15.1% EBITDA margin, which was impacted by sharp increases in raw material costs.

Financial Stability and Investor Activity

The company also successfully completed a Qualified Institutions Placement (QIP) of ₹500 Cr, attracting significant institutional investor interest. The proceeds from this transaction are allocated primarily for debt reduction and reinforcing the balance sheet.

Looking ahead to Q2 FY27, Arvind stated that demand remains resilient across Textiles and AMB. While raw material availability and cost escalation pose margin pressure, the company is working on a detailed mitigation plan. Planned investments for growth capital expenditure (Capex) are projected at ₹450 Cr to ₹500 Cr during FY27.
