Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand from Greaves Electric Mobility Limited, has announced a significant technology overhaul for its popular Magnus G Max model. Powered by the new NxG.io software platform, the upgraded Magnus G Max now boasts over 30 IoT-enabled features, aiming to enhance daily riding safety and convenience across Indian urban and semi-urban landscapes.The upgrade introduces several high-value connected systems designed specifically for everyday mobility. Key additions include Cruise Control, Hill Hold Assist, and Turn-by-Turn Navigation. Furthermore, the scooter now features Find My Scooter and Ping My Scooter capabilities, simplifying vehicle location in crowded parking areas, thereby integrating practical connected technology into daily use.
The comprehensive connected ecosystem encompasses real-time charging status, live tracking, geo-fencing, theft and tow alerts, remote vehicle diagnostics, service booking options, charging history records, and battery health insights. Ampere has ensured that the scooter's functionality can evolve over time through an over-the-air update capability.
The upgraded Magnus G Max also receives a new aesthetic update, introducing a Cinnamon Copper color option alongside various premium dual-tone colors. The price point for the upgraded model is set at INR 1,09,999.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility, stated that "For Bharat, smart mobility must also be practical, dependable and easy to use every day." He added that the features bring "meaningful intelligence" to the family scooter segment, empowering riders with confidence in navigating, commuting comfortably, locating their vehicle easily, and owning an EV.

The technology upgrade complements the Magnus G Max's existing performance credentials. The scooter is equipped with a 3 kWh LFP battery and features a 2.4 kW peak motor. It delivers an IDC-certified range of 142 km and has a real-world range exceeding 100 km, reaching a top speed of 65 kmph.Engineered for diverse road conditions, the Magnus G Max includes 12-inch wheels, telescopic front suspension, and dual rear shock absorbers. The LFP battery technology is designed for a long life expectancy of 2,00,000 km, reinforcing its value proposition, especially for customers transitioning from petrol scooters. This commitment to longevity is supported by a 5-year/75,000 km battery warranty.
