Ampere Introduces Reo VYB at ₹69,499, Expanding Entry Level E2W Portfolio
Bengaluru, June 17, 2026: Ampere, the electric two-wheeler (E2W) brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, has launched its latest product, the Reo VYB. Designed to be a smart entry-level EV, the scooter is intended to meet the everyday urban mobility needs of young riders and first-time EV buyers. The Reo VYB is available at an introductory price of ₹69,499, strengthening Ampere’s family of scooters.The reo VYB features a Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery, offering superior thermal stability and safety. It boasts a true riding range of up to 80 km on a single charge and a potential battery life extending up to 1,00,000 kms. Operating at a maximum speed of 25 kmph, the scooter is suited for short urban commutes and daily errands.
The design incorporates several practical elements aimed at enhancing the riding experience. Riders can choose from four color options: Warm White, Pastel Purple, Dark Grey, and Aqua Metallic. Functional features include 24 liters of under-seat storage and a rider footrest. The scooter is equipped with a color LCD digital cluster, LED headlights and tail lamps, and a front disc brake. Security and convenience are managed through a premium key fob that allows for keyless start.
The Reo VYB is powered by a hub-mounted motor designed to deliver smooth and efficient performance. Its compact dimensions, combined with a stable ride setup, telescopic front suspension, and rear damper, ensure ease of handling even on congested city streets.
Ampere backs the vehicle with robust service assurances. The launch includes a 3 Years/30,000 Kms warranty. After-sales support is managed through Ampere Care, which provides service at over 400 touchpoints across India and offers 12x7 customer care assistance.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility, stated that the reo VYB aims to be a practical solution for evolving urban mobility needs. He noted that with Tier II and III cities connecting to the national EV grid, the adoption of low-speed scooters and last-mile delivery solutions is expected to rise. The launch reinforces Greaves Electric Mobility's commitment to building products that address real-world mobility requirements.
