Indian Equities Climb Amid Resilient Macro Indicators

The domestic equity market concluded a positive week, driven by robust macroeconomic indicators and improved industrial activity. The BSE benchmark Sensex rose 663.44 points, marking a gain of 0.86 per cent. Concurrently, the NSE Nifty surged 214.85 points, achieving an increase of 0.89 per cent.

Ajit Mishra, SVP, Research at Religare Broking Ltd., noted that these gains were supported by resilient domestic metrics and healthy GST collections. He further stated that expectations of a more accommodative global monetary policy, spurred by softer-than-expected US labour market data, fortified investor sentiment significantly.
