Affle Completes Strategic Acquisition of AdColony Assets from DT

Affle 3i Limited has announced a strategic move to significantly augment its consumer platform technology stack through the acquisition of select AdColony assets from Digital Turbine (DT). This definitive asset purchase agreement is set to strengthen Affle’s commitment to accelerated growth and enhance its capabilities in driving premium consumer conversions globally.

Affle MEA FZ LLC successfully acquired key assets related to AdColony from DT, which was formerly known as Digital Turbine. The strategic package includes the AdColony SDK for both Android and iOS devices, the associated technology platform, existing integrations with mediation platforms and in-app publishers, along with the brand name, domain, and goodwill exclusively linked to these assets.

The acquisition aligns directly with Affle's 10X growth strategy, providing enhanced reach and a broader range of mobile publisher connections globally to augment its consumer platform technology stack. This expansion is intended to deepen the process of human-vs.-non-human data distillation, thereby driving premium conversions through Affle's differentiated CPCU (Cost Per Converted User) business model.

Anuj Khanna Sohum, Chairperson, MD and CEO of Affle, stated that the integration of AdColony marks a substantial step toward achieving global scale for Affle’s advertisers. He noted that combined with their integrated stack, the acquisition will unlock greater ROI for both advertisers and publishers while driving long-term value for stakeholders.

For DT, the transaction enables them to focus resources on their core media and distribution platforms and differentiated data and intelligence assets. Bill Stone, CEO of DT, commented that the strategic decision to consolidate following previous acquisitions allowed DT to simplify its technology stack. He added that Affle is a natural partner for these AdColony assets, creating an opportunity to deepen their commercial relationship by leveraging mutual strengths in supply, demand, and technology to benefit advertisers, publishers, and partners.

Sameer Sondhi, CEO of North America and Chief Strategic Investments Officer at Affle, emphasized that the acquisition reinforces Affle's commitment to continuous global scaling and delivering personalized recommendations throughout connected consumer journeys. He noted that AdColony’s trusted reputation with global publishers complements Affle's strategy, strengthening the company’s ability to drive deeper engagement with both existing and new advertisers worldwide.

Through this strategic acquisition and ongoing commercial partnership with DT, Affle aims to deliver enhanced value for advertisers, publishers, and stakeholders across international markets.
