AERA Issues Tariff Order for GMR's Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh
The Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) has issued a crucial Tariff order pertaining to the operations of Bhogapuram International Airport in Andhra Pradesh, which is being developed by GMR’s subsidiary, GMR Visakhapatnam International Airport Limited. The airport project involves the Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) of the Greenfield facility.The AERA has released Tariff order bearing no. 10/2026-27 concerning the determination of ad-hoc aeronautical charges and tariff for Bhogapuram International Airport. This order is specifically designed to cover the period commencing from the airport's commercial date of operation until regular aeronautical charges are implemented.
The determined tariffs will remain applicable throughout the 1st Control period, which is set from April 01, 2027, to March 31, 2032.
GMR Airports Limited, the parent entity responsible for this project (and previously known as GMR Airports Infrastructure Limited), is involved in ensuring the operational framework of this critical infrastructure facility following the issuance of the regulatory order by AERA.
