The issue was subscribed at an impressive 3.1 times, accumulating bids worth ₹10,841 crore in a single-day offering on July 27. The successful subscription was driven by significant interest across various institutional categories. Multiple domestic mutual funds participated actively, including SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund, Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund, HSBC Mutual Fund, Edelweiss Mutual Fund, Kotak Mutual Fund, and Quant Mutual Fund.Domestic life insurance companies also showed strong support. Premji Invest, SBI Life, Kotak Life, ICICI Prudential Life, SBI General, and Edelweiss Life were among the institutions that participated in the placement.
Foreign investors contributed substantially to the demand for Adani Energy shares. Participants from abroad included Manulife Investment Management, Fiera Capital, Think Investments, and Nippon Offshore.

Adani Energy priced the QIP at ₹1,615 per share. This pricing reflected a strategic discount, appealing to discerning investors. The offer was set 4.9% below the floor price of ₹1,698.15.Furthermore, the issue maintained its appeal by offering a 5.2% discount compared to the closing price of ₹1,703.30 recorded on July 27. This calculated pricing helped ensure strong demand and oversubscription within one trading day.
