Mumbai, July 30, 2026: Westlife Foodworld Limited, which owns and operates McDonald's restaurants in West and South India through its subsidiary Hardcastle Restaurants Pvt. Ltd., has announced financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27) ended June 30, 2026. The company reported strong business momentum, fueled by its value-led strategy and robust guest count growth across markets.

The firm recorded revenue of ₹7.36 billion for Q1 FY27, marking a 12% increase year-on-year. Same Store Sales Growth (SSSG) stood at 4.3%, reflecting strong performance in May and June. Operating EBITDA increased by 11% year-on-year to ₹946 million.

The company maintained sustained profitability, with the Restaurant Operating Margin standing at 18.6% and the Operating EBITDA margin at 12.9%. Cash PAT was reported at ₹517 million, representing 7% of sales for the quarter.

Operational Growth and Digital Adoption​

Operations remained healthy across all channels. On-premise sales, which include dine-in and takeaway, constituted 59% of total system sales. Off-premise channels also showed growth, with McDelivery noted as a key growth engine for the business.

As part of its expansion efforts, the Company added five restaurants during the quarter. As of June 30, 2026, Westlife Foodworld operates a network of 482 restaurants across 79 cities, and it remains committed to achieving a target of 580 restaurants by December 2027.

Digital adoption continued to deepen throughout the period. Digital channels contributed approximately 74% of sales. The McDonald's app ecosystem crossed 55 million cumulative downloads, while Monthly Active Users (MAU) rose above 3.7 million, reinforcing the omni-channel strength of the platform.

Strategic Focus and Future Outlook​

The company continued to emphasize affordability and relevant menu innovation as key drivers for customer engagement. The "Everyday Value" platform priced at ₹99 served as a primary catalyst for guest count growth.

During the quarter, Westlife Foodworld launched a new brand campaign, "Let's Family at McD," celebrating 30 years of McDonald's in India and focusing on the evolving meaning of family through everyday moments.

Commenting on the quarterly results, Amit Jatia, Chairperson of Westlife Foodworld Limited, stated that the company started FY27 strongly. He noted that improving same-store sales and double-digit revenue growth reflect the strength of their value platform and disciplined execution. Despite near-term inflationary pressures, he confirmed that sustained profitability was delivered while strengthening customer engagement across channels.

Looking ahead, Westlife Foodworld aims to focus on strengthening core daypart leadership, accelerating network growth in both existing and new markets, and expanding its omni-channel capabilities.
