Varun Beverages Limited to Acquire 100% Stake in Crickley Dairy Proprietary Limited
Varun Beverages Limited announced on March 17, 2026, that its subsidiary, The Beverage Company Proprietary Limited ('Bevco'), has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the equity stake of Crickley Dairy Proprietary Limited ('Crickley'), a company incorporated in South Africa. The acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to diversify its product portfolio into value-added dairy and juice-based drinks.The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals, including those from the Competition Commissions of South Africa.
Bevco will acquire the 100% equity stake of Crickley for an Enterprise Value of ZAR 238 million, equivalent to INR 1,314.68 million (based on an exchange rate of 1 ZAR = 5.52 INR).
Clark Holdings Proprietary Limited is the seller in the transaction. Neither Crickley nor Clark Holdings Proprietary Limited are related to Varun Beverages Limited's promoter group or group companies. Bevco is a subsidiary of Varun Beverages Limited. The transaction does not constitute a related party transaction and no shares will be issued.
