Varun Beverages Limited Renews Exclusive Bottling Appointment and Trademark License with PepsiCo
Varun Beverages Limited (VBL) has formalized a revised Exclusive bottling appointment and trademark license agreement for India (EBA) with PepsiCo Inc. and its affiliates (PepsiCo). The agreement was executed on May 21, 2026, at 19:00 hours IST.The revision of the EBA introduces significant changes to the operational scope and duration of the partnership.
According to the details of the revised agreement, the tenure of the EBA has been extended up to April 30, 2049. This marks a substantial extension from the previously recorded term, which was set up to April 30, 2039.
Furthermore, the scope of VBL's activities has been broadened. Under the initial EBA, VBL was restricted to only operating as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for PepsiCo’s business. This restriction has been entirely removed in the revised EBA, granting VBL greater operational freedom.
