Varroc Engineering Wins ET AutoTech Award 2026 for Innovative Infotainment and Connected Technology
Pune: Varroc Engineering Limited, a global Tier-1 automotive supplier, has received recognition as the winner of the In-Cabin Infotainment & Connected Technology Award at the inaugural ET AutoTech Awards 2026. The award celebrates breakthrough innovations transforming the automotive technology landscape, highlighting Varroc's indigenous solution, VarrocLink. The recognition is for VarrocLink, a sovereign connectivity ecosystem engineered to redefine in-vehicle infotainment interactions. This platform emphasizes deep OEM-centric customisation and seamless integration, providing a differentiated user experience that sets it apart from conventional mirroring solutions which often impose standardized UI constraints and high licensing costs across different vehicle segments.
VarrocLink is built on an Asynchronous Architecture. This design offloads critical functions, such as high-precision navigation, directly to the infotainment system's onboard GPS. By addressing real-world challenges like low connectivity environments and mobile battery drain—which pose safety concerns during long-haul drives—the technology enhances driver security. Furthermore, it empowers manufacturers by allowing them to develop bespoke OEM-branded UI/UX instead of relying on third-party licensing frameworks.
The platform is currently being integrated into the next-generation models of a major Indian OEM across its portfolio of premium MPVs and 4x4 lifestyle SUVs, bringing connected-car capabilities to historically underserved vehicle segments. VarrocLink is designed to be segment-agnostic and scalable for all vehicle categories, including ICE and EV four-wheelers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and multi-axle vehicles.
Presently, VarrocLink provides standard infotainment functions such as music control, call and SMS alerts, event calendar synchronization, and a 360-degree view of the car via the onboard surround view system. Looking ahead, the platform is developing into a complete Vehicle Command platform. Planned future features include remote diagnostics, vehicle health monitoring, remote air-conditioning control, remote horn and light activation, find-my-car capability, and other operational controls.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr. Dhruv Jain, Whole-time Director and CEO of Varroc Business II stated that Varroc’s endeavor is to deliver solutions rooted in local market realities while meeting global performance benchmarks. He added that Varroc Link addresses genuine challenges faced by Indian OEMs and drivers, viewing it as a significant step toward safe, smart, and sustainable mobility.
Mr. Deepanshu Taumar, Head of Product -ETAuto & Manufacturing, noted his pleasure in recognizing Varroc Engineering at the inaugural awards ceremony. He highlighted that Varroc’s entry stood out for its strong focus on tackling real-world mobility challenges through innovation, representing a forward-thinking approach for the industry.
