Uno Minda Limited has released its comprehensive Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the financial year 2025-26. The report details the company’s performance against key environmental, social, and governance parameters, supported by a Reasonable Assurance Report on BRSR Core Indicators provided by BDO India Services Private Limited.

The BRSR is part of the Company's Integrated Annual Report and reflects Uno Minda’s commitment to embedding ESG principles across its operations and value chain as the automotive sector shifts towards cleaner mobility solutions.

Operational Scope and Governance Highlights​

Uno Minda operates in the manufacturing of auto components, which constitutes 91.58% of its turnover. The company's product portfolio includes components such as Switches (25.8%), Lighting (24.9%), Alloy Wheels (21.4%), Seating (9.5%), Casting (4.6%), Sensor (4.5%), Controller (3.5%), and Acoustic components (2.8%).

In terms of corporate governance, the company maintains a structured stakeholder engagement process. The Steering Committee, composed of key management executives, oversees sustainability implementation, assisted by an Advisory Committee comprising functional heads from EHS, HR, CSR, and finance departments.

Water and Resource Management:
The company prioritizes water conservation through advanced wastewater management systems. The total volume of water consumed for the year was 8,73,912.32 kL, resulting in a water intensity of 5.95 kL per Million INR. Uno Minda has implemented Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)-aligned practices across several operational sites and facilities are equipped with both Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).

Sustainable Initiatives:
The company is actively pursuing a decarbonization strategy through five key pillars, including fossil fuel optimisation, clean fuel transition (such as using Piped Natural Gas), energy conservation measures like Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and renewable energy integration. One commitment is to meet 60% of global electricity needs through renewable energy sources by 2030, against which the company reported a 30% share in renewable electricity across its Indian plants as of March 31, 2026.

Uno Minda has set specific targets relating to workforce diversity, aiming to increase the share of female employees and workers to 20% by 2030. As per the report, gross wages paid to females accounted for 7.54% of total wages in FY 2025-26.

In terms of relationship management:

• Customers: The company maintains a multi-channel grievance redressal system, with 5,870 complaints from customers in FY 2025-26, 481 of which were pending resolution at the end of the year.
• Suppliers: Uno Minda implements a defined supplier selection and procurement framework based on quality, environmental, and social considerations, requiring suppliers to adhere to the Supplier Quality Assurance Manual (SQAM).

The company is also actively engaging with local communities through CSR initiatives, which include vocational training programs. For instance, the Samarth-Jyoti Vocational IT literacy Program benefited 13,502 individuals during FY 2025-26.
