Universus Photo Imagings Wins in Appeal Dismissal Before NCLAT
Universus Photo Imagings Limited announced that the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), New Delhi, has dismissed an appeal filed by shareholder Mr. Ankit Jain. The NCLAT allowed the withdrawal application submitted by Mr. Jain, effectively concluding the legal challenge against the company.The development follows earlier proceedings where the Honble NCLT, Allahabad Bench, had already addressed the matter. Previously, the NCLT had passed an order on October 15, 2025, dismissing the initial petition filed by Mr. Ankit Jain and favoring Universus Photo Imagings Limited.
Mr. Ankit Jain had challenged the NCLT's order by filing an appeal before the NCLAT. Subsequently, Mr. Jain made a request to withdraw the appeal proceedings.
In a ruling delivered on April 16, 2026, the NCLAT accepted this request, allowing the withdrawal application and consequently dismissing the appeal.
Following the dismissal of the appeal by the NCLAT, the order dated October 15, 2025, passed by the Honble NCLT, Allahabad, remains operative. Universus Photo Imagings Limited confirmed that while a formal order confirming the status is yet to be received, the earlier NCLT directive remains in full effect.
