The cessation of operations at the Ludhiana Brewery is scheduled to be effective June 30, 2026.The company confirmed that, despite the closure of this facility, it has entered into a long-term capacity lease agreement with a Contract Brewing Unit. This arrangement is set to secure the supply of the company's beer in the State of Punjab and neighboring states, including Delhi. United Breweries Limited stated that this long-term lease agreement will be pivotal in meeting future demand efficiently and sustainably through enhanced operations within Punjab.
The company asserted that the closure of the Ludhiana Brewery will not impact its overall business performance within the state. Furthermore, United Breweries Limited reaffirmed its deep and enduring commitment to the state, its communities, and its consumers, while also committing to taking necessary and responsible steps to support its employees and workmen through the transition.
