Trom Industries Secures 42 MW Rooftop Solar Orders from South Bihar Power Distribution Company

Trom Industries Limited, a solar EPC and clean energy solutions provider, has secured three major purchase orders totaling 42 MW from the South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL). These projects involve implementing Grid-Connected Rooftop Solar Projects under the CAPEX plus RESCO Mode Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) Model of the PM Surya Ghar -Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY).

The orders are strategically distributed across three circles in South Bihar: Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, and Biharsharif. These projects collectively account for 38,561 consumer installations, with each unit possessing a capacity of 1.1 KW. The entire order portfolio is scheduled to be executed within nine months following the signing of the respective Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

The allocation across the three circles is detailed below:

CircleCapacityConsumer Installations
Biharsharif17 MW15,335
Bhagalpur15 MW13,290
Aurangabad10 MW9,936

The projects are structured under the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) model. This arrangement ensures that Trom Industries will receive recurring revenue derived from power generation over the entire tenure of the agreements. This long-term income stream is anticipated to enhance the Company's cash flow stability and improve revenue visibility, offering a sustainable annuity-based income alongside its core EPC operations.

These contracts reaffirm Trom Industries’ significant role in government-backed rooftop solar programs and reinforce its capability in the utility-led residential solar sector. The projects are directly aligned with the Government of India’s initiative to accelerate distributed renewable energy adoption through PM Surya Ghar -Muft Bijli Yojana.

Jignesh Patel, Managing Director of Trom Industries Limited, commented on the momentum generated by these orders, stating that they represent an important milestone in the company's involvement in India’s rapidly expanding rooftop solar ecosystem. He added that the PM Surya Ghar initiative provides substantial opportunities for experienced EPC players and expressed satisfaction at contributing to the national program while maintaining a focus on timely execution and high-quality standards across government-led renewable energy projects.
