TCS Launches India's First Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and Center of Excellence in Kolkata

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched India's first Oracle AI Data Platform Lab and Center of Excellence (CoE) in Kolkata, marking a significant step in its commitment to advanced AI engineering and intelligent data platforms. This new facility is designed to help organizations navigate the complexities of enterprise transformation by turning vast amounts of data into actionable insights and scaling AI-driven automation at an enterprise level.

The launch solidifies TCS’s expanded collaboration with Oracle. The new facility, located in Delta Park Lords, Kolkata, aims to address common barriers faced during AI adoption, such as fragmented data landscapes, limited AI scalability, slow analytics cycles, and operational inefficiencies. Using industry solutions, accelerators, and reusable architectures, TCS will assist clients in deploying AI-driven automation efficiently.

The Oracle AI Data Platform utilizes the combined capabilities of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Autonomous AI Database, and OCI Enterprise AI to prepare data for AI readiness. This enables organizations to create and deploy agentic applications built upon a secure and unified data foundation.

Arvind Mehra, Head of Alliances & Channels -Technology at Oracle India, stated that the initiative is helping clients accelerate AI adoption by enabling them to turn data into real business outcomes—from actionable insights to intelligent automation—by leveraging the Oracle AI Data Platform to simplify and operationalize AI across their business processes. Sudipto Ray, VP & Global Head of Oracle Practice at TCS, noted that the CoE will deliver industry-leading AI capabilities and solutions, accelerating clients' journey from ideation to full-scale deployment.

Looking ahead, TCS plans to expand its reach, intending to roll out the Oracle AI Data Platform Labs and Centers of Excellence across four additional cities throughout India over the next three years. Supporting these initiatives, TCS maintains a centralized team consisting of 26,000 Oracle-skilled professionals across India dedicated to client AI support.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has long been recognized as a global leader in IT services and consulting since its inception in 1968. The company is focused on transforming its clients across the full AI stack. As of the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, TCS generated consolidated revenues of over US $30 billion.
