Operational Highlights and Outlook

Saket Kanoria, Chairman and Managing Director of TCPL Packaging Limited, commented on the results, noting that the quarter's performance was supported by continued strength in the domestic business. He attributed this stability to volume growth in India that remained ahead of underlying consumer market growth, helping to mitigate the effects of geopolitical disruptions in the Middle East.

Kanoria also pointed out that while exports faced impacts in the quarter, the company continued to strengthen its presence globally and deepen customer relationships, expecting these efforts to support improved export momentum as market conditions normalize.

Regarding margins, he stated that the performance reflected elevated raw material costs and a timing lag in passing on cost inflation. The company remains focused on achieving margin recovery through calibrated pricing actions, improving the product mix, and enhancing operating efficiencies.

Operationally, the flexible packaging business delivered a strong performance throughout the year, characterized by healthy capacity utilization across plants. Furthermore, the paperboard segment benefits from the ongoing scale-up at the Chennai Greenfield facility, which has seen encouraging customer traction. The gravure cylinder facility at Silvassa has also ramped up well, which strengthens backward integration, enhances operational efficiency, and supports faster turnaround times for customer requirements.

Sustainability and Corporate Achievements

TCPL Packaging Limited recognized its commitment to sustainability and corporate governance through several recent achievements.

This recognition underscores progress across environmental, ethics, labor and human rights, and sustainable procurement practices. The company aims for continued sustainability growth, targeting Net Zero for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2040 and striving for a Silver rating in its next assessment.
