Tata Motors Confirms Status of Partnership Discussions with Stellantis Following Media Report

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd has clarified the status of its collaboration talks with Stellantis following market speculation regarding a definitive partnership agreement, confirming that negotiations are ongoing but no final contract has been executed.

The company addressed reports suggesting it is on the verge of finalizing a major partnership with Stellantis. Tata Motors confirmed that while discussions between the two entities continue, there has been no definitive agreement reached as of now.

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd, which was formerly known as Tata Motors Limited, holds a long-standing relationship with Stellantis. This relationship spans over two decades and is channeled through Fiat India Automobiles Private Limited (FIAPL), a joint venture actively involved in multi-brand vehicle manufacturing within India.

Building on this established partnership, the company and Stellantis entered into a Non-Binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 10, 2026. The purpose of the MOU was to explore potential opportunities for collaboration across critical areas including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain management. A press release detailing the signing of this MOU was previously issued by the company.

The clarification addressed market concerns regarding price-sensitive events. Tata Motors stated that there are no negotiations or developments currently underway that would require specific regulatory disclosure, confirming that discussions remain in an exploratory stage. Furthermore, the company confirmed it is unaware of any undisclosed information that could affect the trading volume or price movement of its securities.

Regarding legal and regulatory matters, Tata Motors affirmed that neither any regulatory nor legal proceedings have been initiated nor concluded which require mandatory disclosure. The company stated it will provide requisite disclosures as and when any material development occurs.
