Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts Receives Occupancy Certificate for Bengaluru Property​

Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd has received the Occupancy Certificate from the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board for its forthcoming luxury hotel, Taj Yelahanka, located in North Bengaluru.

The property is set to be a 256-key luxury hotel. The company expects operations to begin in the coming months, with the scheduled opening of Taj Yelahanka anticipated by September 2026.

Taj Yelahanka is strategically positioned in response to strong demand within Bengaluru for corporate travel, MICE activities, and growing leisure traffic. In addition to the existing 3-acre site, the company also holds an adjacent 4-acre land parcel which may be developed as part of Phase II of the project, positioning the entire venture as a landmark destination in the Yelahanka micro market.

Commenting on this milestone, Mr. Krishna Bhupal, Joint Managing Director of Taj GVK Hotels and Resorts Ltd, stated that the company is pleased to have received the Occupancy Certificate from the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board for Taj Yelahanka, noting its advanced state of completion. He further added that the company is currently in the process of applying for all other ancillary licences and approvals required to ensure the hotel can become operational within the proposed deadlines.

The portfolio of TAJGVK Hotels & Resorts Ltd includes existing properties such as Taj Krishna, Hyderabad, Taj Deccan, Hyderabad, Taj Club House, Chennai, Taj Chandigarh, and Vivanta Hyderabad, alongside the upcoming Taj Yelahanka in Bengaluru. The company also co-owns Taj Santacruz, Mumbai through its subsidiary Company, Green Woods Palaces and Resorts Private Limited.

Taj GVK Hotels & Resorts Limited saw its stock edge higher on Wednesday, closing at ₹343.10 after gaining 1.17%.The equity traded within a daily range of ₹336 to ₹345, with a total traded volume recorded at 104,210 shares.
