Swan Defence Secures Major Order for Dual-Fuel Ammonia Bulk Carriers​

Swan Defence and Heavy Industries Limited announced that it has secured a new order from Energy ONE Limited, an international entity. The contract involves the construction of four 92,500 DWT dual-fuel ammonia bulk carriers.

These vessels are noteworthy as they will represent the first ammonia dual-fuel ships constructed in India and are also among the largest commercial vessels slated for construction at an Indian shipyard. This development marks a significant advancement for both the technological capabilities and the scale of the domestic shipbuilding industry.

The execution timeline indicates that the delivery of the first vessel is anticipated in October 2029, followed by subsequent scheduled deliveries.

The company confirmed that the order does not constitute a related party transaction, and neither the promoter, the promoter group, nor any of the group companies have any interest in Energy ONE Limited.

The company, formerly known as Reliance Naval and Engineering Limited, provided details on order classification, noting that the secured order falls under Category 4, which corresponds to an order value of Rs. 1501 to 3000.
