(NSE: SOMATEX | BSE: 521034) informed that the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has directed the National Highways Authority of India to deposit 50 percent of an arbitration award amounting to ₹1,197.72 crore, including interest, in a matter involving its promoter and holding company, Roadways Solutions India Infra Limited.
The order, dated February 9, 2026, pertains to disputes arising from a Concession Agreement dated June 22, 2021 relating to the Vadodara–Mumbai Expressway Project, Packages VIII and IX. The arbitration award of ₹1,019.02 crore, along with interest aggregating to ₹1,197.72 crore as of February 9, 2026, had earlier been challenged before the Hon’ble Delhi High Court.

Supreme Court Order: Key Financial Directions​

The Supreme Court has directed NHAI to deposit 50 percent of the total awarded amount before the Registry of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court within eight weeks from the date of the order.
Upon such deposit, Roadways Solutions India Infra Limited will be permitted to withdraw the amount subject to furnishing an irrevocable and unconditional bank guarantee to the satisfaction of the Registrar General of the Hon’ble Delhi High Court.
The remaining 50 percent of the awarded amount will be subject to the outcome of the final hearing scheduled before the Delhi High Court on July 14, 2026.
