Bangalore, India – Strides Pharma Science Ltd. today announced its consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027 (Q1FY27), which ended on June 30, 2026. The company reported stable performance with revenue increasing by 13% year-over-year (YoY).

The company saw strong growth in its Ex-US markets, where revenue rose 17% YoY to ₹5,875m ($63m). Meanwhile, the US business remained steady at ₹6,282m, representing a 4% increase over the previous year. Total revenue reached ₹12,654m in Q1FY27.

Earnings before interest, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) grew by 5.4% YoY to ₹2,298m, achieving an EBITDA margin of 18.2%. This growth occurred despite a approximately ₹131m impact on operating costs due to the ongoing geopolitical situation.

Reported Profit After Tax (PAT) increased significantly by 56.7% YoY to ₹1,655m, leading to Reported Earnings Per Share (EPS) of ₹17.0. Operational PAT saw an 8% YoY increase to ₹1,231m, with an Operational EPS of ₹13.4.

The company also noted unlocking ₹1,000m of value through the divestment of its majority stake in Pivot Path, a captive GCC of Strides.

CEO Comments on Strategic Execution and Growth​

Badree Komandur, MD & Group CEO of Strides Pharma, commented on the results, stating that Strides delivered a steady start to FY27 with 13% YoY revenue growth. He attributed this success to investments in Ex-US Markets, which are now yielding strong returns and reinforcing the strength of the diversified business strategy, contributing 17% YoY growth.

"Our focus on execution and operating discipline enabled us to grow absolute gross margins by 14% YoY," Komandur stated. "EBITDA grew approximately 5% YoY to ₹2,298m, despite the approximately ₹131m impact from elevated operating and freight costs arising from the ongoing geopolitical situation."

The MD also noted that the company reduced net debt by ₹119m, resulting in a Net Debt to EBITDA ratio of 1.52x, even with significant working capital investments required by the current business environment. Furthermore, he mentioned unlocking ₹1,000m of value through the divestment of the majority stake in Pivot Path and improved the EcoVadis sustainability score to 68/100, marking a 19-point increase from last year.
