Sterling Bank of Asia Selects Infosys Finacle Software-as-a-Service for NextGen Transformation​

Infosys Finacle, a component of EdgeVerve Systems and a subsidiary of Infosys, has been selected by Sterling Bank of Asia to power its next generation transformation program. The partnership focuses on leveraging the Infosys Finacle Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform across several banking domains, aiming to enhance customer and employee experiences while reducing operational complexity through automation and digitization.

Sterling Bank of Asia is a progressive institution in the Philippines that announced the decision on June 25, 2026. The bank plans to utilize Finacle Core Banking, Finacle Customer Data Hub, Finacle Trade Finance, and Finacle Origination solutions as part of this strategic collaboration with Infosys Finacle.

The adoption of the SaaS-based deployment model is expected to allow Sterling Bank to simplify technology operations and focus on strategic growth and innovation. Furthermore, by utilizing the cloud-hosted model, the bank will be able to scale seamlessly and on demand in response to evolving business needs while maintaining compliance through access to periodic security and feature enhancements.

Cecilio Paul D. San Pedro, President and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Bank of Asia, stated that modernizing their technology foundation is crucial for realizing the bank's goals. He noted that with Infosys Finacle, they have secured a trusted transformation partner and a next-generation banking platform capable of meeting the dynamic requirements of both customers and the regulatory environment in the Philippine market.

Sajit Vijayakumar, Chief Executive Officer of Infosys Finacle, commented that the collaboration exemplifies the growing presence of Finacle in the Philippines. He added that Finacle SaaS provides Sterling Bank of Asia with a modern, customer-first digital banking platform designed for the Philippine market, helping position the bank for long-term success without requiring upfront infrastructure investments.

Finacle is described as an industry leader in digital banking solutions and operates as part of EdgeVerve Systems, a subsidiary of Infosys. Its cloud-native suite helps financial institutions scale digital transformation across core banking, lending, payments, treasury, analytics, and AI requirements.
