State ACB Challenges Discharge Order in Case Against Cemindia Projects Ltd

Cemindia Projects Limited has been informed that criminal revision cases have been filed before the Andhra Pradesh High Court regarding a previous case involving the company and former employees. The filing challenges a discharge order previously granted by a Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases in Vijayawada.

The dispute originated from a criminal case registered by The State ACB, CIU, A.P., Vijayawada. This case involved allegations of an attempt to bribe public servants, filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 read with the Indian Penal Code 1860, against a former employee, a former representative of the company, and Cemindia Projects Limited.

In response, the Company and the former employee had filed a Criminal Miscellaneous Petition seeking discharge from the case. The Court granted this discharge order on April 13, 2026.

However, the State ACB has subsequently challenged this finding before the Andhra Pradesh High Court (APHC) in Amaravathi by filing Criminal Revision Cases (CRLRCs).
