SoftTech Engineers Limited, in collaboration with NHEV (National Highway Electric Vehicle Infrastructure), has launched India's first single-window approval system dedicated to the EV ecosystem and wayside amenities along national highways. This unified platform, powered by SoftTech's Civit platform, aims to streamline the entire lifecycle of EV infrastructure development across the country.

The initiative establishes a comprehensive digital backbone for India's transition to sustainable electric mobility on its highways. SoftTech serves as the technology provider, while NHEV acts as the national initiative driving the deployment of EV infrastructure.

The system is designed as a multi-stakeholder digital platform that addresses the complete ecosystem of facility allottees, land providers, and service partners across India's national highway network. It handles the entire development lifecycle, from initial applicant registration and GIS site selection to compliance review, officer approvals, and final allotment and execution.

The platform is built to serve three key groups:

• Facility Allottees: Businesses establishing EV charging stations, fuel stations, and general highway amenities.
• Land Providers: Landowners who offer highway-side parcels.
• Service Partners: Vendors supplying necessary equipment and services.

Enhancing Transparency and Visibility​

This single-window portal consolidates multiple departmental approval touchpoints into one automated, standardized, and auditable workflow, replacing previously fragmented processes.

A critical feature of the platform is its GIS layer, which allows applicants to validate and select sites using live geospatial highway data even before filing any documents. The system’s real-time dashboard ensures that all stakeholders—including applicants, land providers, reviewing officers, and regulators—have complete visibility at every stage of the process, promising faster approvals.
