SJVN Limited has announced changes within its senior management team, including the superannuation of two long-serving officials and the promotion of others into key executive director roles.

The company confirmed that Shri Baljeet Singh and Shri Rajesh Kumar Sharma ceased their duties as Senior Management upon reaching retirement age on July 31, 2026.

In recognition of their performance and experience, SJVN Limited promoted two individuals to the Executive Director level: Shri Manmeet Gupta and Shri Vikas Sharma. Expertise and Profiles of New Executives​

Shri Manmeet Gupta has served SJVN Limited for over thirty three years, having joined in 1993. His service record spans various functions within the organization, including the Contracts Department, Quality Control Department, and Commercial Disputes related to Hydro, Wind, and Solar Projects. He also contributed to Alternate Dispute Resolution, the Nathpa Jhakri Hydro power station, Rampur HPS, Tala Hydroelectric Project in Bhutan on Deputation with the Royal Government of Bhutan, Vigilance Department functions, Fabrication of steel liners, and the Buxar Thermal Power Project Chausa Buxar Bihar.

Shri Vikas Sharma has been appointed as Executive Director (Civil), effective August 1, 2026. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Amravati University, Maharashtra, and possesses over thirty years of experience in the power sector, specializing in the development and execution of hydroelectric projects.

Prior to joining SJVN Limited in December 2008 as Senior Manager (S&I and Infra), Shri Sharma gained significant international experience working with industry leaders such as Impregilo SPA, L&T, Gammon, and SN Power Norway. His professional history includes executing the re-mining of a tunnel under squeezing rock conditions at Nathpa Jhakri HEP, achieving exceptional excavation rates during the Karahnjukar HEP in Iceland, and involvement in projects like Parbati Stage-II HEP, Purulia PSP, and Allain Duhangan HEP.

During his tenure at SJVN Ltd., Shri Sharma was pivotal in securing statutory clearances and completing S&I work for the Luhri HEP. He received the CMD Award in 2013-14 for exceptional field execution, structural restoration, and timely commissioning of Rampur HEP. Additionally, he successfully oversaw the completion and operation of the Corporate Office building in Shimla. His expertise includes navigating complex geological challenges at the Diversion Tunnel, HRT, and Dam at Arun-3 HEP in Nepal. Earlier in his career, Shri Sharma led the execution of the Buxar Thermal Power Plant as CEO, achieving Commercial Operation Date for Unit-I (660 MW). He currently serves as Head of Project for the Sunni Dam HEP.

SJVN Stock Price Movement​
