Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced a strategic investment of Rs. 5,00,00,000 (Rupees Five Crores Only) in its wholly owned subsidiary, Shakti EV Mobility Private Limited. The investment was executed through the subscription of 50,00,000 equity shares with a face value of Rs. 10 each.

Following this transaction, the consolidated investment in the subsidiary stands at Rs. 70,00,00,000 (Rupees Seventy Crores Only). The capital infusion is intended to initiate and expand the business operations of the wholly owned subsidiary.

Subsidiary Profile and Operations​

Shakti EV Mobility Private Limited was incorporated on December 16, 2021. The entity specializes in the manufacturing of various types of electric vehicle motors for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and special purpose vehicles, as well as specialized chargers for electric vehicles. As of March 31, 2026, the subsidiary reported a total asset size of Rs. 12,857.28 Lacs.

The acquisition serves to bolster the company's presence in the electric vehicle component manufacturing space. The investment was completed on the same day as the announcement and involves a cash consideration for the issuance of equity shares.
