
Senior Leadership Transitions at State Bank of India as Management Restructures Roles and Welcomes New CFO
State Bank of India has announced changes in its senior management team, detailing superannuations, new appointments, and the upcoming transition of its Chief Financial Officer.Effective July 31, 2026, two senior executives are set to retire from their posts. These individuals include Shri Ashok Kumar Sharma, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Credit Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer, and Shri Kameshwar Rao Kodavanti, who served as Chief Financial Officer.
The bank has also detailed new responsibilities assigned to its existing leadership team. As part of the organizational shift, Shri Satyendra Kumar Singh will take on the role of Deputy Managing Director & Chief Credit Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer. Additionally, Shri Varinder Khanna has been appointed as Deputy Managing Director (CCG-II) Commercial Client Group.
Further updates regarding key personnel include the appointment of Shri Sunil Ramgopal Agrawal. He is scheduled to assume the responsibilities of Chief Financial Officer and Key Managerial Personnel starting August 1, 2026.
