In his capacity as Joint Secretary, Shri Murty played a pivotal role in modernizing corporate governance frameworks. He successfully conceived and piloted numerous reforms aimed at enhancing the overall Ease of Doing Business environment.Crucially, he spearheaded the Decriminalization of Corporate Laws. This reform initiative established a foundational template that was later adopted by the Government of India for the Jan Vishwas Bill. These efforts demonstrate a consistent focus on improving the Ease of Doing Business and Ease of Living for corporates.
His expertise also covers major corporate restructuring activities. Shri Murty has experience hearing, adjudicating, and issuing orders concerning Schemes of Arrangements, Mergers, and Amalgamations of Government Companies.

The credibility of Shri Murty is further underlined by his extensive board participation. He has served as a Part-Time Member (Government Nominee) on multiple authoritative bodies.
