Operational and Corporate Updates
In an operational move aimed at enhancing quality and efficiency, Satia Industries Limited has undertaken a planned shutdown of Paper Machine 3 starting June 1, 2026. This shutdown is expected to last for approximately five months and is intended to facilitate comprehensive refurbishment and modernization, which is anticipated to enable higher machine speed and improved production capacity.The company also noted that, effective from the financial year 2026-27, it will discontinue presenting the Cogeneration Division as a separate reportable segment, having opted for the concessional tax regime under Section 200 of the Income-tax Act, 2025. The transition to the new tax structure resulted in a one-time, non-cash deferred tax charge that negatively impacted Profit After Tax (PAT).
