Sasken Technologies Launches Hyderabad Center of Excellence to Boost Engineering and Digital Innovation​

Sasken Technologies Ltd., a major provider of product engineering and digital transformation services, announced the launch of its Center of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad on April 16, 2026. This new facility is set to reinforce Sasken's regional delivery capabilities and deepen its technical partnerships with strategic chipset customers, including Qualcomm and their Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Located within one of India’s fastest-growing technology hubs, the Hyderabad CoE is designed to focus on next-generation engineering solutions. Its scope spans connected devices, 5G-led platforms, IoT solutions, embedded systems, and advanced digital product engineering. The center aims to facilitate closer customer collaboration, accelerate engineering cycles, and support faster product innovation across various global industries, such as Automotive, Smart devices, HiTech, Satellite communication, and Industrial sectors.

Leadership and Talent Expansion​

As part of the expansion, Sasken Technologies appointed Nirmala Datla, Chief Data Science and Engineering Officer, as the Site Leader for the Hyderabad CoE. In this capacity, Datla is tasked with driving delivery excellence, building advanced engineering capabilities, and leading talent development initiatives at the new location.

The company also announced plans to hire over 100 specialized professionals in the coming months. This hiring drive will draw from Hyderabad's robust technology talent ecosystem, focusing on high-skill roles in semiconductors, Original Design Manufacturers (ODM), automotive engineering, and Data Science & Engineering. These roles will specifically support advanced engineering programs related to intelligent platforms, connected devices, and next-generation digital ecosystems for global clients.

Strategic Importance​

Company officials highlighted the strategic importance of the CoE in meeting escalating industry demand. Nirmala Datla stated that the Hyderabad CoE represents a key strategic investment to support the increasing demand for Sasken's capabilities in product engineering and digital transformation. She added that Hyderabad's strong engineering talent pool enables the company to scale delivery, deepen customer collaboration, and accelerate time-to-market for clients.

Similarly, Hareesh Ramanna, Chief Experience Officer, noted that the establishment of the Center of Excellence strengthens Sasken's delivery footprint. He emphasized that the move positions the company to support customers with greater speed, scale, and proximity, thereby aligning with the company's overall growth strategy.
