
Ai+ Smartphone Partners with Optiemus Electronics to Manufacture 3 Million Devices in India
₹125 Crore Investment Planned Over Five Years Under Make in India Initiative
New Delhi, March 12Homegrown technology brand Ai+ Smartphone announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Optiemus Electronics Ltd (OEL) to manufacture 3 million mobile devices in India, with a combined investment of about ₹125 crore over the next five years.
Production to Begin at Noida Facility from April 2026
Under the agreement, manufacturing will take place at OEL’s facility in Noida. The partnership will cover the production of mobile phones, tablets, Internet of Things devices, and advanced wearable products.The companies said the production ramp up is scheduled to begin in April 2026 as part of their plan to expand domestic manufacturing capacity.
Manufacturing Agreement Covers Multiple Device Categories
In a joint statement, the companies confirmed that Ai+ Smartphone has entered into a manufacturing agreement with OEL, a subsidiary of Optiemus Infracom Ltd.The agreement includes plans to manufacture a range of consumer technology products in India, including smartphones, tablets, IoT devices, and advanced wearable devices.
The companies added that the partnership involves an investment of around ₹125 crore in India based manufacturing over a five year period under the Government of India’s Make in India initiative.
Partnership Expected to Create 1,200 Jobs

Madhav Sheth, CEO of Ai+ Smartphone, said the company sees significant potential for an Indian brand in the smartphone market, which is currently dominated by Chinese and other global players.He added that the partnership aims to strengthen local value creation in the electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
"Together, we are committing capital, creating jobs, and building under the Government of India’s Make in India vision, so that more of the value in this industry is created here, not just assembled here," Sheth said.
