Royal Enfield Introduces Updated Continental GT 650 with New Features and Pricing
Royal Enfield, a leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment (250cc-750cc), has launched an updated version of its iconic café racer, the Continental GT 650. The revamped model, which sharpens both style and functionality while retaining its classic appeal, will be available across all Royal Enfield dealerships in India starting August 14, 2026.The latest Continental GT 650 receives several thoughtful updates designed to enhance its look and practicality. New features include a black-painted instrument cowl for a sharper aesthetic and stylish new LED trafficators that improve visibility. For added convenience on the move, the motorcycle is equipped with a USB Type-C fast charging port.
The model maintains its strong performance core. At the center of the Continental GT 650 is Royal Enfield’s legendary air/oil cooled, parallel twin cylinder engine. The 648cc engine delivers 47 horsepower at 7150 RPM and a maximum torque of 52.3 Nm at 5250 RPM. This power plant is paired with a smooth shifting six speed gearbox.
The chassis structure, developed in collaboration with Harris Performance, features a steel tubular double cradle frame, telescopic front forks, and gas charged twin rear shock absorbers, providing the confident and poised ride signature to the Continental GT line.
The Continental GT 650 remains a tribute to the original café racers of the 1950s and '60s. The updated edition continues this legacy with refinements that complement its distinctive design, preserving the blend of style and performance. One specific update noted is that the Rocker Red variant now features a blacked out engine, exhaust, and cast alloy wheels.
