PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery Shares List at Discount, Debut Amid Market Selloff

PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery IPO Listing Details

Shares of PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery Ltd made a subdued debut on the stock exchanges on March 4, listing at a discount of nearly 4 percent to the issue price of Rs 386.

On the BSE, the stock opened at Rs 372, reflecting a decline of 3.62 percent from its IPO price. On the NSE, it listed at Rs 375, marking a discount of 2.84 percent.

Following the listing, the company’s market capitalisation stood at Rs 1,183.94 crore.

Weak Market Sentiment Weighs on Debut

The stock entered the market on a day when benchmark indices were under significant pressure due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East.

The 30 share BSE Sensex was trading 1,445.88 points lower at 78,792.97 during the morning session. The 50 share NSE Nifty declined by 461.40 points to 24,400.25.

The broader weakness in equity markets coincided with the company’s stock market debut.

Subscription and IPO Structure

The Rs 380 crore initial public offering of PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery Ltd received an overall subscription of 1.23 times on the final day of bidding last Thursday.

The IPO was priced in the band of Rs 367 to Rs 386 per share. The issue was entirely a fresh issue of equity shares, with no offer for sale component.

Utilisation of IPO Proceeds

According to the company, the funds raised from the public issue will be deployed to establish 15 new stores by fiscal year 2028. A portion of the proceeds will also be allocated toward marketing and promotional expenses associated with the launch of these stores to strengthen the visibility of its flagship brand Reva.

The remaining funds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Company Background and Business Model

PNGS Reva Diamond Jewellery was formed after its promoter, P N Gadgil & Sons Ltd, transferred its diamond jewellery business through a slump sale. The transaction enabled PNGS Reva to operate as a separate entity while continuing in the diamond jewellery segment.

The Pune based company operates as a retail focused jewellery brand, offering a wide range of jewellery products in the market.
