RBL Bank Resolves GST Demand of ₹92,00,23,536​

RBL Bank Limited announced that the Assistant Commissioner of State Tax, Mumbai, has withdrawn the ₹92,00,23,536 tax demand, inclusive of interest and penalty, which was previously outlined in a show cause notice under the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 for the financial year 2019-20.

The resolution, detailed in an order dated March 24, 2026, follows proceedings initiated under Section 74 of the Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. The bank had previously disclosed receiving the show cause notice on October 1, 2025.
