Indian Railway Finance Corporation Limited (IRFC), a Government of India Enterprise, has made significant changes in its Directorate following an order from the Ministry of Railways. The competent authority has approved the appointment of Shri Ranjay Choudhary and granted ex-post facto approval for an extended additional charge to Shri Randhir Sahay.

Shri Ranjay Choudhary, who currently serves as CGM at Power Finance Corporation Ltd. (PFC), has been appointed to the post of Director (Finance) at IRFC. The appointment is set within a pay scale of Rs. 1,80,000 - 3,40,000/- (IDA).

The position carries a term of five years and will be effective from the date of assumption of charge or until further orders are issued, whichever occurs earlier. The appointment details are as follows:

The company is currently taking the necessary steps to finalize the appointment formalities for Shri Ranjay Choudhary.

In addition, the Ministry of Railways has approved an extension of additional charge concerning the post of Director (Finance), IRFC. This extension applies to Shri Randhir Sahay, IRAS, ED/F(S) from the Railway Board. The extended charge period is six months, effective from 01.05.26 or until the regular incumbent assumes the post, whichever comes first.

The decisions and approvals were communicated by the Ministry of Railways, Government of India, vide its Order No. 2024/E(O)II/40/1 dated 29th June 2026.
