Power Grid Corporation Commissions 20 GW Transmission System for Rajasthan REZ
Power Grid Corporation of India Limited has successfully commissioned its 'Transmission System for evacuation of Power from REZ in Rajasthan (20 GW) under Phase-III Part-H'. The project was fully commissioned effective July 4, 2026.The commissioning milestone followed the receipt of the Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO), which was dated July 9, 2026 and received on August 3, 2026.
The project had been entrusted to POWERGRID Beawar Dausa Transmission Limited. This entity was noted as a wholly owned subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd at the time of commissioning.
In addition to the successful project completion, the company also confirmed that POWERGRID Beawar Dausa Transmission Limited has been amalgamated with POWERGRID Vataman Transmission Limited. This amalgamation took effect on March 1, 2026.
